- Have you ever designed a product that really missed the mark? Rather than building out that experience and crossing your fingers, you can simulate it using a full-fidelity prototype. From there, put it in front of your prospective users and stakeholders, gather their feedback, iterate on the design and present it to them once again, giving you the confidence that you and your developer need to implement the full project. My name is Dani Beaumont and I'm a Principal Product Manager on the Adobe XD team. In this two-part Essentials training course, I'll give you all the skills you need to build everything from a wireframe to a full-fidelity design that you can present on a desktop device, mobile device, or even download to a voice-activated appliance. In part one of this two-part series, we'll begin by exploring all of the workspace layouts, panels, and tools. From there, I'll show you some productivity tricks like keyboard shortcuts, repeat grid, responsive resize, and stacks. Then finally, we'll look at building a hierarchal component library with states and overrides that can be easily shared as a design system. If you don't have any experience with Adobe XD, that's okay, there's no need to worry. I'll take you through the process step by step. To speed things up or give you some specific examples, I've put together some exercise files. If you'd like to follow along with me during the course, you'll want to download those files and have them available for you on your own machine. You'll also want to make sure you've installed the latest version of Adobe XD. With that all set, let's go ahead and get started.
