What are blend modes?
- [Instructor] Blending modes are quite an involved topic. So what you're going to get here are the super glossy highlights of blending modes. There are plenty of places you can investigate them further. I've got an image based on one of my drawings here of this super-brained owl. And in the layer above that, if I just make it visible, I've got this thing here that I use to demonstrate blend modes. And it's made of a grayscale ramp, and then it's made of some grayscale swatches, some color swatches, their grayscale equivalent. There are black lines and white lines around some of those boxes and they will have a bearing on what you see. So to access blend modes you simply tap on the layer and you'll see Blend Modes appear just here. There are quite a few, there are no where near as many as there are in Photoshop, but really there are enough here to get you through what you'll need to do I dare say.
