Type and shape layers

- Shape layers can define type areas or type paths. I can show that I'm on my rectangle layer. I'll choose my Type tool. When my Type tool is outside of that shape, I have a dotted square around the cursor. When it's over the shape I have dotted circle. When I click over the shape, I'm now about to input type into a type area defined by that shape layer. Before I do so, I'll come to the Character panel, and I just want to reset its values. Likewise with the Paragraph panel. So I can now type into this area, or I can come and choose Paste Lorem Ipsum. You might expect that going forward there will be some relationship bewteen the shape layer and the type layer, and beyond the visual relationship, there actually isn't. If I come and choose the shape layer, and then press Command or Control T to bring up Free Transform, and change its size, you can see that that's not going to affect the type.
