Merging layers

- [Instructor] I'm working on this cat cartoon here and if you watched the previous movie, you will have seen me just delete the duplicated layer. And I've changed my mind back and I want to reintroduce it. I'm going to undo that because I'm still in the same session. It's different if you close out of the document but I am still open in the same session. So I'm going to do a two-fingered swipe to the left and that layer is now reintroduced. Of course, you could be doing this with any of your own files, too. What I want to do is bring those two fish together onto one layer so I'm going to merge their contents. To do that, simply tap on the topmost of the layers you wish to merge and they need to be next to each other in order to do that. You can't select one and merge it to something further down the stack because there isn't a selection mechanism in that way. Okay, what I'm going to do is choose Merge Down, like so.
