Learn what can be achieved with Adobe Illustrator Draw.
- [Instructor] Draw: what is it good for? And those of you of a certain age or above will get immediately where I'm coming from with the screen I've chosen to create for this one. By the way, it wasn't created in Illustrator Draw. This was put together in Illustrator and bought in as an image. Although, I am in Illustrator Draw right now. I'll show you; I promise. As for what it's good for, well, you'll need to look at the community gallery which you'll be covering in the next chapter to get an idea of just how far and wide people are using this application.
But it lends itself immediately to things that are bold and typically vector, as you'd expect them. But it can be so much more. Essentially, you've got tools that will allow you to draw with great precision and you've got enough flexibility in those tools to be able to draw fast and loose. The end result will be entirely up to you. I've done things that range the whole spectrum inside of this application, knowing that they will come out as beautiful vector drawings at the end.
I've also put together quick scamps and comp notes and things like that inside of here too. So it covers an entire spectrum. Like I said, check out the community gallery and see what people are doing with it and then determine how you're going to use it. But it is, in any event, an amazing piece of kit to have.
