Understanding the ASE file format

- [Instructor] Now that we know how to create a few basic color themes let's take a look at how we can download that color theme. I'm currently here within the My Libraries tab within Adobe Color where I can see some of the color libraries and swatches that I have currently saved within my account. Now, if I click one of these ones, for example, pink bouquet, you'll see additional options. At the right hand side of the screen, I have two options for downloading the swatch. The first one is download as a JPEG, which will just give me a basic JPEG image I can send off to stakeholders that don't necessarily have Adobe software available to open up more specialized file formats. Now, the other option is to download the swatch set as an ASE, which stands for Adobe swatch exchange. Now the ASE file format cannot be opened by any type of application. You will need a dedicated Adobe application in order to use the ASE file format.…
