What are microinteractions? - Adobe Animate Tutorial
From the course: Prototyping Microinteractions with Adobe Animate
What are microinteractions?
- [Instructor] Before we get into using Adobe Animate to design and prototype microinteractions, we need to understand what microinteractions are and why they're so useful when prototyping. Let's go over the basics. Microinteractions all have various properties. They should achieve a single task. Not complicated. There should be a feeling of tight integration within the entire application. It should belong. It should never be obtrusive. You don't want it to stand out too much, however, you need it to give subtle hints to the user that something should happen or they should take some action. Some of the various uses for microinteractions include modifying different settings, adjusting preferences within an app, toggling a feature off or on, and even alerting the user. Some examples of microinteractions include progress bars, bouncing or morphing icons, a color wash or even ripple and pulsing effects. Okay, with that out of the way, we're ready to continue.
