Layer parenting
- [Instructor] Animate CC now has a parenting mechanism that allows you to create a hierarchical structure of parent/child relationships between various layers. Let's see how this feature works. So here you can see I have a number of different layers here, each corresponding to an object on the stage. These are all just little graphic symbols, and each one is a different part of the skeleton's body and is also represented as a unique layer. To use layer parenting, you have to have advanced layers on. To check and see if you have advanced layers on or not, you can just click into the pasteboard to make sure nothing's selected and then in the document properties choose Advanced Settings to access the document settings. We can see down below that we are using advanced layers because it's been checked. Okay. You'll find the parenting view right here near the camera and the layer depth panel. So if we toggle that on and expand this a little bit, we can see that we now have this parenting…
