Join Joseph Labrecque for an in-depth discussion in this video HTML5 video components, part of Adobe Animate CC New Features.
- [Instructor] Video playback on the web…is a huge reason why Flash Player…has enjoyed such widespread usage.…With this update of Animate CC…we can now perform video playback in HTML5 Canvas projects…through the use of components as well.…Here's my Components panel.…If you need to open yours, it's under Window, Components.…Underneath here, you'll notice there's a video folder…with a video component.…Let's go ahead and pull this out onto our stage.…
I'm going to adjust the size of this component to 340x340.…I'll then position it at about 30 pixels…from the X and Y positions.…So it's nice and, sort of, centered on the stage,…leaving little room for extra components down below…if I desire.…With that particular component selected…we can choose a source for the video…by clicking this little pencil icon here.…
So I'm going to browse for my video.…And here it is fountain.mp4.…We'll go ahead and open the video.…If we want to, we can actually have Animate adjust…the size of the video component to match…the dimensions of our video.…
