Generate Texture Atlas for game engines
- [Instructor] For some time now, Animate has had the ability to export movie clip symbols in a variety of spreadsheet formats. With this new release, we now have the ability to export more complex texture atlases for game engines like Unity. In our sample file here, we have this little movie clip symbol with its own internal animation, and if I double-click on there, we can set this to loop, and extend our loop frames the entire animation, and then preview. And we can see this nice little animation going on here. Let's go back out to scene one, and have a look inside of our Library at the squishy movie clip symbol. If we right-click on the movie clip symbol itself, you'll find Generate Sprite Sheet, which has been here for quite some time. But you'll also notice we have the option to Generate a Texture Atlas. If I choose that, Animate goes ahead and prepares the texture atlas for us. We have this little window, that we can scroll and see all the different pieces of our asset. We can…
