Creating symbols

- [Instructor] Aside from shape tweens, we can use a few other tween types within an Animate project. The classic tween and the motion tween. Neither of these tween types can be used upon a vector shape. Instead, they are only to be used upon symbol instances. So what we're going to do is create a new layer and we'll name this Symbol. And the existing shape layer, we can lock that down and even turn off the visibility for it. Let's go ahead and draw another circle. So again using the Oval Tool, I'm going to hold down my Shift key and just drag out a circle, click and drag. And from here, we can go ahead and choose the Align panel making sure to align to stage and let's go ahead and center that both horizontally and vertically. Using the Selection Tool, we will select that shape and to turn it into a symbol, we choose Modify, Convert To Symbol. This brings up the Convert To Symbol dialog where we can give it a name and choose a type. We're going to choose Graphic symbol as a type and…
