Configure a TLS VPN
- [Instructor] Virtual private networks, or VPNs, allow secured remote access to a private network over the internet. Now, what we're going to be doing in this example is configuring a TLS VPN. Most people will call it an SSL VPN, but we know that SSL is not a secure protocol and it should no longer be used. So, what I'm going to do to start with, then, on the server, is I'm going to go into the Server Manager. We're going to set up a Microsoft Windows Server 2016 VPN that uses TLS. So, the first thing I need to do is make sure that the appropriate server role is installed, so for that, in Server Manager, I can click Add roles and features. I'll just go through until I get to the Roles screen where I need to make sure that under Remote Access, Direct Access and VPN is installed. And it is already installed, so the next thing I would do is go to the Tools menu and configure the VPN, and I can do that by choosing Routing and Remote Access.
