- [Narrator] PKR certificates are issued from templates that contain specific settings for that certificate. We're going to take a look at how to customize certificate templates. Here on my window server, I'm going to go in the start menu to start the appropriate tool. That means I'm going to go down under window's administrative tools, and the tool we're looking for here is the certification authority. So I'll run that tool. When it pops up, we can see in the left hand navigator the name of our certificate authority. It's called Fake Domain 1. And if I expand that to show me the items on the left, one of the things I will see is certificate templates. If I highlight that, I can see issued certificate templates that can be used to create certificates listed over on the right. For example, we've got a web server certificate here for server authentication, for secured websites. We've got a computer certificate template for client and server authentication.
