- [Instructor] There are many ways…to acquire a PKI certificate.…In our case, we're going to be doing it…through Amazon Web Services for a web server.…So the first thing I'll do here is check out…the security options in the AWS Management Console.…I've already got an AWS account…that I've signed into, so down under security,…I want to go down under certificate manager.…Now in here, if I click private CAs,…I've already got a private, subordinate CA…that I've created here in the cloud,…we can see the status is listed as active,…that I can use to issue certificates here in the cloud.…
To issue certificates, I'll go to certificate manager…in the left-hand navigator.…Then on the right, I'll click get started.…Now, I don't need to import a certificate,…we already have a subordinate CA certificate.…I can request either a public certificate.…Now, I don't want to do that, that'll request it from Amazon,…I want to do a private certificate from my own CA.…So down below I'll choose request a private certificate.…Then in the bottom-right, I'll click request a certificate.…
