- [Instructor] Sometimes, PDF documents don't always behave as we'd expect them to. Sometimes the files were created years ago, by who knows who, by what kind of program. Who knows if the fonts were embedded, maybe it was scanned, maybe it's been repurposed over the years, run through Acrobat Distiller a few times, repurposed and then, they send it to you to work on, oh boy, how fun. So, I thought I'd walk you through a real world example of how I use PDF commenting in my workflow, to help simplify things. This is a drawing of a boat and I want to correlate the items on the mechanical arrangement with some of the items in the parts list. The first thing I'll do, is start to highlight some things. I click on the comment tool, to bring up my comments, I have my highlighter and I want to highlight the items relating to the water maker.
