- Footnotes are very common in long documents…and InDesign has a powerful and flexible footnote feature…that makes adding footnotes in InDesign a breeze.…What's more is that the footnotes output…to an accessible PDF correctly with the proper tags applied.…Let's take a closer look.…So I'm beginning this video on page 19…of the Footnote.indd file, and what I wanted…to show you here is that in this first paragraph,…I want to insert a footnote reference…that will then cause a footnote to appear…at the bottom of that section.…
So the first thing we need to do…is define our footnote options.…So to do that, we're going to go to the Type menu…and I'm going to chose Document Footnote Option.…There's a lot of properties to choose from here,…but in the Numbering and Formatting pad,…we can choose the Style Numbering.…We can also choose when we want the footnote to start at.…And we can even tell it to restart every Page,…Spread, or Section as well.…And we can add a Prefix or a Suffix if we want to as well.…Now the important area, in my opinion,…
