Creating high-quality, accurate estimates is a critical part of construction. Learn what it takes to get started as a professional estimator.
- Building construction is all around us. As long as there's been construction, the task of understanding and forecasting the true cost of building projects has also been equally important. Why would anyone build something without knowing how much it costs? It really doesn't happen like that. Hello, my name's Chris Randall. And I've been a construction estimator for 20 years. The construction industry is constantly in need of skilled estimators who understand the cost of building a project and can articulate that through an estimate or bid. In this course you will learn what a construction estimator does, the key components of an estimate, as well as the necessary tools and background you must have to be successful.
The world is full of great construction tradespeople and construction managers and there will always be a call for quality estimators. Making the jump to estimating from learning in the field has never really had a solid path or learning course that emphasizes the logics of estimating until now. Let's get started.
