It's your job as an estimator to sort through these quotations and find only the ones that will work with your project, and compare them for the best price. From time to time, you may receive quotations that are not complete. And although the quotation dollar value is the lowest, you may not be able to use it because the quote lacks something needed for the job. Let's talk about what aspects of a quotation need to be checked. Proper material. Is the material quoted what is needed for the project? Did the cabinet supplier send you a quotation for bottom cabinets when you definitely needed top cabinets?
