That's the main reason this type of material is quoted…and not unit priced.…Estimators must review and compare these quotes…to find the lowest responsible quotation price…to use in their estimate.…Make sure the quotation price that you use…is from a reputable vendor who can provide the materials…as specified without exception and in conformance…with the schedule of the project.…Sometimes vendors or manufacturers…do not fully understand the project specifications…or conditions, and provide pricing that cannot be used…because the quoted material cannot be used…
