Length based measurements

Length based measurements

- [Instructor] Some materials are not simply counted, they are measured in distance using a ruler or rolling scale. These are called length measurements. In this example I am measuring long runs of ceiling hung cable tray. I measure a run, highlight or mark it to remind myself it's already counted, and then when I'm done I'll add the measurement, the labor units, to the take off sheet. (beeping) There. The measurement is 386 feet. I'll simply enter it onto the take off sheet. 12 inch cable tray. 386 feet. The price here is 712 dollars per hundred. And the labor to install this is 19.25 hours per hundred. That's an example of a length-based measurement.
