- [Instructor] Now let's look at the labor columns and extend them pretty much the same way we did the material. We'll start off with the items that have a per each quantity. Again, these may be listed with the letter E or the letters EA, or the word each, which all mean the same thing, they're each. So nine light fixtures installed at 1.2 hours each will multiply out to 10.8 hours of installation time, or 10.8 hours of labor. Also, we can extend the items whose quantities are measured in the same unit of measure we labored. For instance, the excavation by the cubic yard. Excavation of 27.5 cubic yards of soil at .02 hours per cubic yard will equal .55 hours to perform the excavation. Let's fill these in. I'll go to my take off sheet, and the fixtures I said were 10.8 hours. And the excavation was .55 hours. Here's a few other ones I can calculate. Seven drops times .7 hours each, 4.9 hours. Down here I have five interior door assemblies at five hours a piece. That's 25 hours…
