- We see issues with linear flow at both the macro and micro level in a website. Many people with different types of disabilities rely on a keyboard for input, either because they simply can't use a traditional mouse, because it is much more efficient for them to use the keyboard or maybe it is simply less painful for them to use the keyboard than it is to use a mouse. Using a keyboard to complete any interaction is a must-have for accessibility. Let me say that again just for emphasis. A user must be able to use the keyboard to complete all interactions, period. There are no exceptions to this. While your development team is primed and ready to ensure that keyboard access is properly implemented, you as the designer must ensure that keyboard access is properly designed.
