- [Instructor] As your database grows…and more users are entering information into it,…there may come a day when you have duplicate records.…Those duplicate records can just be a waste.…If you've got several of them,…you'll end up slowing down your searches.…It'll be ambiguous and confusing and if somebody tries…to go back to amend a record, they may go back…and amend one version the first time and the other version…the next time and then those two records…are no longer exactly the same…and they both hold important pieces of information…and (sighs) it just gets to be a pain.…
One of the special queries that you can execute…involves finding duplicate records.…Now that we're in our Queries tab,…if you just simply click the New button,…the query wizards that come up…include the Find Duplicate Query Wizard.…Let's go ahead and click that.…And let's look for customers with the same last name.…Next and we'll be searching by LastName.…What other information do you want to show aside from that?…Well, let's include their first name, CompanyName…
