- [Instructor] The exercise files in this course are free for all members. The files you'll be using include fictional companies with employee information and other data. To start, you should download the exercise file package to a location on your computer, such as the desktop, like I did here. When I open the folder, I see a series of files broken down by chapter. All of the files that you may need during each of the videos are located right in the chapter folder. I'll tell you when to open each file as we proceed through the course. And if you open a file during one of the videos, I recommend that you use a Save As command, so that you don't overwrite the original file. That way, you'll have the document you were working on as well as the original file available to you. If you accidentally overwrite the original file, you can always download the exercise files again from the Lynda.com Web site.
