- [Instructor] The totals query allows you to perform aggregate calculations across a group of data that share some common attributes. We just created a query that adds up the sum total of all of our sales and reports the values by state. And you can find it here in the navigation pane, it's called Total Sales by State. Let's go and double click on it to run it. This shows me all the states in my database that actually have sales figures associated with them. And I can see the total sales from each state. Now let's take a look at what happens when we try and add additional filtering criteria to our query. I'm going to go into design view and come down to the criteria row below the subregion. And let's say wanted to focus on just the states in the Pacific subregion. When I type in Pacific it wraps it in the double quotation marks. I'll press the run button. And I'll see just the five states that occur in that Pacific subregion. That's the states of California, Washington, Oregon…
