- [Voiceover] I've mentioned the various Access objects that will make up your database a couple of times now, and it's probably a good idea to pause a moment and explore exactly what each object does and what their role is in the complete system. We'll begin with the all important table object. Tables are the heart of the database, and they're the objects that physically store your data. Tables in Access are more structured than the ones you might have previously created in a spreadsheet program like Excel. In Access, tables are made up of horizontal rows called records that describe a single object or thing that you wanna keep track of. All of the records in a table will all give the same type of entity. For instance, every record in an employees table will be a person that works for your organization. Each record in a products table, would represent an individual item that you have for sale. The columns that make up your table represent different attributes about the record. In the…
