- [Narrator] A common task with any table of data is to sort contents to bring relevant records to the top. On the home tab of the ribbon we have a group called Sort and Filter that holds all the tools to do just that. Let's go ahead and take a look by opening up our Guests table. And right now we can see that we have a total of 201 records, I can look here at the bottom to see that, and we have guest ID number one, Katherine Reid, at the top and if I press the Last Record button here, we can jump down to the bottom that we can see record 201 corresponds to Michael Adkins. Let's go back to the beginning. These records are currently displaying in the order that they are put into the database, but I can change that by sorting them based off their last name for instance. To do that click in any cell in the Last name column or you can click on the header to select the entire column and then in the Sort and Filter group, you can either press Ascending, to sort them A to Z, or Descending…
