- [Instructor] When using the Format function to alter the way our date values are presented it converts our date values into text strings. Sometimes this doesn't have any consequences on the presentation of your data unless of course, you want to sort your data chronologically instead of alphabetically. When you want to present your data as text but still sort it numerically, you might need to get creative with your Query Design. Right now I have the Order Details Query opened up on the screen and if I scroll over here on the far right you might remember that this is the one that we calculated the Total Price column by taking the Quantity from the Orders Table and multiplying it by the Unit Price from the Products Table. Let's go ahead and build a Summary Query based off of this data by using the Query Wizard. I'll go to the Create tab and click on the Query Wizard button to start that up.
