- [Voiceover] Because Access stores dates as serial numbers, it becomes very easy to perform date comparisons, or define ranges of dates. We've seen some of these comparison operations before, but I thought it'd be useful to see them, and see how they can be applied specifically to working with date data. Let's go ahead and create a new query here in design view, and we're gonna take a look at our employees' hire dates. I'll go ahead and add the Employees table, their EmployeeID, FirstName, LastName, and we'll scroll down and find their Hire Date, here. Now if I wanted to find all of the employees that were hired on the 11th of December, 2015 we know that we can come down here to the criteria row, and type in 12/11/2015. As soon as I press Enter, Access wraps that in the date delimiter characters, that's the pound signs that you see here at the beginning and at the end. When I run this query we'll see all of the employees, all two of them that were hired on the 11th of December, 2015.…
