Process a column of values with domain functions
- The domain aggregate functions are a useful set of functions that'll help you parse out information from the database and calculate values across the entire column, or what's referred to as a domain, of a data table or a query records set. Let's take a look at a query that we built previously in this course, called Employee-Lifetime Sales. This query has the employee ID, first name and last name of our sales team, as well as this calculated column called lifetime Sales. This simply shows me the total value that each employee has added to our company's bottom line across their entire employment history. What I like to do, is find out how much our sales people are above or below the average lifetime sales figure. It'd also be nice to be able to see how far away each sales person is from achieving the top position in the rankings. We can accomplish both of these tasks using domain functions.
