Password protect a back end

- [Instructor] Now that our database is split into a front end and a back end, we might want to take the additional step of password protecting our files, to make sure that only authorized people can get in and make changes. Now, because of the way Access stores absolute file paths to the back end database, where our data tables are stored, I can't actually distribute a starting exercise file. So, if you're following along, you'll need to continue on with the database that we split in the last movie. I'm currently in the front end of our database, and to set the database password, we'll come up to the File tab, and in the Info section I'll click on Encrypt with Password. That'll bring up this informational dialogue that says I must have the database open for exclusive use to set or remove the database password. I'll go and say OK to this, and I'll show you how to open up the database in exclusive mode. To do that, we'll come up to the File menu, and I'll come down to Close. That'll…
