As you've seen, Access is a very powerful program, and now you know a bit more about how to customize it for a very specific set of needs, developing a database to support and document the salesperson's sales process. To add to your new Access skills, I recommend Access for Dummies, and not just because it's a book that I've coauthored since 2007. I recommend it because the Dummies series can be a really good, non-threatening, easily followed way to learn software. It's designed for both new and experienced users who need a friendly, non-technical approach to mastering Access. I also recommend joining Office Insiders. It's a great way to find out about new features throughout the Office suite. After you learn the Access interface and user tools, the next logical step is to create your own customized Access applications, and you'll do that through a programming language called Visual Basic for Applications.
