First, I would encourage you to spend some time digging into the Expression Builder. There's over 150 built-in functions to choose from, and with Access' context sensitive help system, it makes it really easy to learn more about each one. Simply select the function that you're interested in, click the hyperlink at the bottom of the screen, and you'll be taken directly to the reference sheet for that function. Then, consider checking out one of the other courses on Microsoft Access, such as my Access Forms and Reports In-Depth course or Curt Frye's Up and Running with VBA in Access.
