- [Tutor] Once you've imported, linked, or entered the data into your tables, you'll want to make changes to the field such as changing field captions. Now in some of the tables we can't change the actual name of the field, but we can change the caption which will change how the label is displayed in our reports, tables, forms, and queries. You may also want to change the field sizes to make sure that you're not hanging onto extra character spaces when it's not necessary. And you may also want to change the field data types. For instance when you're working with dates, you have several different formats that you can apply. I have the 03_03 Modify_Fields: Database open so let's go ahead and take a look at our data. We'll start with the employee info linked table. When we work with linked tables there's not a lot of changes we can make right here inside the database.
