- [Instructor] Access is what's known as a relational database, which means its power and purpose is based on the relationships between records in different tables. In our sales database, our relationships are based on the sales process, because the database is intended to be a tool for a sales person to use as they reach out to and close sales with their customers. So when you design your relationships, you're gonna be in relationships view, and that's found through Database Tools. But before we go there, let's talk about laying the groundwork. This is where you plan your relationships. And you wanna think about it in advance. You don't just wanna dive in and wing it. Let's talk about the sales process. I have customers. I communicate with my customers. Hopefully, that results in them placing an order. The orders consist of products.
