- [Narrator] Formatting is really important when it comes to reports that someone besides you is going to be using. Because it just makes it look like you went to that much more trouble. It looks more professional, it looks like you cared how the report looked. And some of the information that you add such as a logo or any instructions, the insertion of lines, the use of color, can help make the report easier to read and more informative. So we're gonna take this product price list, which still has some layout problems, notice this default alternate background shading, every other record by default in Access reports is shaded. It goes beyond the edge of the box, it looks a little weird. These field boxes have boxes around them but none of the others do, that's weird. We have no logo at the top and this shading is kind of distracting so we're gonna put a line between each record instead. We're gonna make the header a little taller so we have room for our logo, we can make better use of…
