- [Adam] The Wizard created a report that gives us a good starting point but needs some additional work before we can consider it finished. Let's take a look at the properties of the report in Design View, starting with the Record Source, and we can get there by simply closing the Print Preview View. Well, let's go ahead and close the Print Preview for now, and we'll take a look at the Record Source for this report. To do that, when we're back into Design View. I'm going to switch over to the Design tab, and we'll open up the Property Sheet. Then, I'll switch over to the Data tab of the Property Sheet. Then we can take a look at the Record Source property. Here, we have the word SELECT, so I can see this is a SELECT statement, or an embedded query. The other options that we have for connecting our reports to a data source is to use the drop-down menu to select an existing table or query from our database. However, when we went through the Wizard, it created this embedded query…
