A database should grow and improve as a salesperson uses it over time. Discover how this means the navigation form that the salesperson uses to quickly find and use their database objects needs to grow and improve over time as well.
- [Instructor] Now over the life of your database…you're going to add forms, and reports,…you're gonna remove ones that you determine you never use.…Things are gonna change and grow…as your use of the database changes and grows.…And the Navigation Form, if you're using it,…as a significant method of moving around in your database,…it needs to change too.…So I wanted to take the Navigation Form here…and make some edits, so we're gonna switch over…to Design View, and we're gonna mainly make cosmetic edits.…
Of course you can always add things by dragging them…over to the Add New, you can remove things,…you can rearrange them.…I'm gonna simply click on them and drag them left and right…so if I want the Orders Form…to come after the Customers Form there it is, now Products.…So I can rearrange them, I wanna get rid of something.…Let's say I rarely use the Communications Form…and it's taking up a lot of real estate…on this horizontal tab, I can just select it and delete it.…So you can make changes as your database evolves.…
