Do more with Access queries

- [Adam] Access databases can store lots of raw data. It's important to find out what that data actually means and use that information to help drive decision-making. That's the foundation of creating and maintaining a database. Hi, my name is Adam Wilbert, and I've been working with Access for over a decade. I like to say that a good database can give you more than what you put into it. Queries are where that magic happens, where raw data becomes useful information. By leveraging the power of Access query objects users can poke, prod and manipulate their data into an infinite number of configurations and see what's going on from any number of angles. To get the most out of your database you need to have a solid understanding of how queries work so that you can ask the best questions of your data. In this course we'll start working with queries to sort through and find records that meet specific criteria. Next, we'll use queries to process our data through built-in functions and expressions to surface additional insights that would otherwise go unnoticed. Then, we'll build flexible query frameworks that leverage inputs from forms and refine how the data is presented so that the results are easy to understand. So let's dig in and see how we can get the most out of my favorite component of any database. Welcome to Access 2019: Queries.
