Date and time functions
- [Instructor] Even though we're storing specific dates with some of our records, when it comes to evaluating or aggregating our data, you may want to look at it a little less granularly. When it comes time to query your data, based off of their month or year, Access provides us a few simple ways to extract just the level of precision, that you need from your date and time fields. Let's take a look at this, by creating a new query in Design view, and I'm going to pull out just the orders table. From there, I'll add in the order ID field, and I'll scroll down and also grab the order date column. In the third column, I'll right click and click on build, to start up the expression builder. Then I'm going to come into the functions folder and click on built-in functions, and then in the expression categories, I'll click on date and time.
