Create and modify databases

- [Voiceover] Most of the time, we're asked to work on databases that have already been created by other people, but what if you need to create a new database? In this video we'll learn how to create a new database from a template. We'll also create a new database by linking it to an Excel workbook. And importing objects from another database. I'll also show how easy it is to delete objects. I have Access open, so let's go ahead and create a new database from a template. In the backstage area, once you open Access, you can see all the templates available to you. If you're looking for something specific, use the search field up above. I'm going to go ahead and create a new database based on the asset tracking template. I'll click on it one time. Here, I have the opportunity to name my database, I'll call it "asset tracking," and then click the browse button so I can make sure I save it exactly where I want to. Let's go to our desktop, exercise files chapter two, and I'll save it right…
