Create flexible queries with parameters
- [Instructor] Sometimes you'll wanna create a query framework that answers many variations on the same question. Instead of hard coding your queries to use the exact same criteria every time their run, like what we've been doing, you can ask the user for the criteria when the query is run. This is called a parameter request. And they're another very useful tool to have when you're building your databases. Let's start taking a look at it by going to the Create Tab and creating a new query in design view. I will make a simple query that just takes a look at our guests. We'll add that table and close the show table window. From here, I'll add the first name, last name as well as the country columns. Now we've seen how to specify a criteria that looks at a single country. For instance, I can come down here into the criteria row underneath country and type in France. If I were to save this query, every time it's run, it'll always return our French guests, just like we did earlier with our…
