Access is one of the only programs in the Office suite that doesn’t feature an auto-recovery option in the case of a program crash or unexpected shutdown. Because of this, users may want to make sure that database backups are made consistently. Access provides a backup procedure that automatically date-stamps the backup files for easy archiving.
