- [Instructor] In the last two movies we split our database into a front end and a back end, and gave each component a separate password in order to control access to our information. One of the main advantages to splitting a database is that each end user can receive a customized front end that's tailor made for the task that they need to accomplish. Let me show you how we can easily set this up. Let's suppose that we want to have our product development team be able to add new products to our database but not have any access to customer or order information. To do this I'm gonna make a copy of the front end file that's tailored to that specific task. Let's go ahead and close out of the front end of the database. And in Windows Explorer I'm gonna make a copy of the front end. I'll just go ahead and select it and press control+c and then control+v. Then I'll rename this copy to H+ Sport Products.
