Combine textboxes
- [Voiceover] This might come as a surprise, but we can use table data to calculate new values right inside of our forms. In the Employee Directory, we can see how this can be used to our advantage by taking a look at the name fields. Right now, our names are being displayed with a large gap between the first name and the last name. That's because they occupy two separate text boxes. I can shrink the text boxes down a little bit and bring them closer together, but it's not going to be a perfect fit for every employee. Since some employees have a short name and some employees have a long name, there's always going to be some gap with this approach. Instead, I can merge the first name and last name fields in to a single text box. Let's take a look at this by switching our view into Design View, and I'm going to click on the first name text box and open up the Property Sheet.
