- [Instructor] There are many reasons why you might need to run a query that show unique values. Maybe you're up against a design flaw in your data or maybe it's just as simple as finding a unique list of departments. Let's take a look at how to create a unique query. Okay, so we have our base query, let's go ahead and save that. Let's go create a new query. And we'll do query design. We're going to go to queries, and just for this example, I'm going to choose the base query. We want to look at a unique list of departments. So I'm going to go ahead and double click Department for my base query. I don't need every department in the organization, I need the departments that are watching the videos. So using my base query shows me everybody in department who's watching the videos. And then I can use a unique statement in order to get a unique list.
