Reports don’t know anything about data. All a report knows is formatting. For all of their data needs, reports rely on a data source such as a table or query. In this video, Adam explores the RecordSource property and how it connects the layout and formatting rules established in the report with the dynamic pool of records being served by a query.

Let's take a look at how our reports get data…by having the wizard walk us through the first few steps.…To do that, I'll come up here to the Create tab,…and in the Reports group,…I'm going to click on the Report Wizard button.…Let's work towards getting a report…that looks at our customers' orders.…The Report Wizard looks and feels…just like the Query Wizard,…
