Add line numbers to the report
- [Instructor] Sometimes adding a running line number to the side of a report might be beneficial to make it easier to refer to specific line items during meetings, or conference calls. Using an unbound text box we can add this type of enhancements to our reports quickly and easily. Let's go ahead and scroll down in the navigation pane and find the Profit Summary. And I'll right click on it and open it straight into Design View. Now I want to add a running line number for our state name, and profit lines. To do that, I'll come up to the Controls group, and I'll grab a new text box control, it's the one with the ab and the rectangle around it. Then I'll come down into the Details section, and I'll click to add in a new Unbound text box. I'm going to get rid of this label, just select it and press delete on your keyboard, and then select the text box again. Next, I'll open up the Property Sheet, and switch over to the Data tab.
