Add functionality and interactivity to Access databases with macros

- Macros allow access developers to add functionality and interactivity to their database applications without having to write a single line of code. As one of the five main objects in the database, macros serve an important role in moving users around the system and ensuring that tasks are performed consistently from one user to the next. Hi, my name is Adam Wilbert, and I've been introducing people to access for over a decade. In this course, I'll show you how to build macros using the action catalog to learn which functions are available and how to fill in their arguments. We'll string a series of actions in a sequence that could be saved and replayed through triggering events. I'll also show you how to organize routines with submacros and leverage variables and conditional logic to increase the flexibility of the macro. Then, I'll touch on some security concerns that come with specific actions. And we'll wrap up with techniques to debug your routines. I'd like to welcome you to access 2019: macros. Let's dig in.
