Using delays
- [Instructor] Unlike EQs and compressors which are often used to make small and subtle changes, delay effects are easy to hear and fun to use. So let's take a look at how you can sync delays to the project tempo and create rhythmic effects. We're going to work with this pluck one track to start. So let's go over into the audio effects area of the browser and let's find the simple delay plugin and let's drag it onto that track after the EQ. So the simple delay plugin is a stereo delay and you'll notice that we have a left and right area where you can set the amount of delay time. Now if you want this to act as a mono delay, you can just enable the linking button at the top, but let's disable that because I do want to use left and right. Now you'll notice that we can set time using the sync mode which will let us set the delay time as a rhythmic increment of our current set tempo and we can do that in a number of 16th notes.
